The 31st edition of the "La Cambre-Mode[s]" fashion show will take place on May 31st and June 1st at KANAL Center Pompidou. It is a must-see event for all fashion-lovers in Brussels, who want to support and applaud outstanding creativity from students worn by more than 350 mannequins. Created in 1986, La Cambre-Mode[s] is the styling  and fashion design studio of the National School of Visual Arts of La Cambre, an art school and design, created in 1927 by the famous artist and architect Henry van de Velde.

The school offers a wide range of master-level educational programs, from drawing, painting, sculpture to photography, animation, scenography, graphic design and communication, ceramics, fashion design, textiles and industry, interior design, binding, preservation and the restoration of works of art.

The course at La Cambre-Mode[s] covers a period of five years and centers around two main axes: styling and fashion design. These two disciplines have in common to include the body in the use of volumes, images, colors and materials. The student learns all facets of fashion as a form of contemporary expression.

The La Cambre-Mode[s] fashion show allows to show and discover the talent of future creators to both to the general public but also to the professionals among the prestigious juries. This year the jury includes Olivier Theyskens, Anthony Vaccarello (Yves Saint Laurent), Cédric Charlier, Matthew Blazy, Julien Dossena (Paco Rabanne), Marine Serre (LVMH 2017), Gamut, Gioia Seghers and many more, working in the shadow of prestigious houses.
