Last week we introduced you to Aude, one of the two Regout sisters that are running their family clothing brand rue blanche. This week it’s time to meet the other half of the duo - Astrid.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

From everywhere really. Especially when I travel.

Do you think of fashion as an art or an industry?

Fashion is, first of all, an art. It is also a tool that allows you to express yourself. Today though, I think, it is sad that the people treat it more and more as an industry. There is no more respect for design and quality.

All alone at home, what do you wear?

Shirts/t-shirts and a pair of jeans.

Where and what brands do you shop for yourself?

I like supporting small upcoming brands like G.Kero, Escuyer, Totême.

How big/small is your personal garderobe?

Well... it’s all a matter of perspective. We [together with her sister Aude] were raised by mother who always said to buy or get the stuff that we are really gonna wear.

So, I would say, it’s not thaaaat big when it comes to clothes. But it huge when it comes to shoes and coats - two of my favourite wardrobe items.

Who’s the Belgian fashion icon in your opinion? Why?

I admire the work of Dries Van Noten. Always loved his shows and the beautiful fabrics that he develops.

What’s an unforgivable fashion mistake (Belgian) people make?

Wearing knee-high skirts with boots that fall right under the knee.

Which Belgian talent should we feature on Belgian Boutique next? Why?

Stephanie D’heygere. She is a jewellery designer with super fun and out of the ordinary ideas. Definitely one of the people that have to be followed.
