Brussels Gallery Weekend

09.08.2019 - Editorial

The Brussels Gallery Weekend (5 – 8 September 2019) is only one month away. Each year the Brussels Gallery Weekend celebrates the general reopening of Brussels' contemporary art galleries and non profit spaces. All around the city, the event gathers great shows, alongside several projects in the Vanderborght building.

The Brussels Gallery Weekend Vernissage (Galleries and Meeting Point) will be on Thursday, the 5th of September between 5 pm and 9 pm at the Vanderborght. The general opening will be on September 6 - 8, from 11 am to 7 pm. During this weekend there will be two talks. On the 6th of September there will be a talk about « Must galleries rethink their format ? » in partnership with Encatc at the Vanderborght. On Saturday, September 7, there will be a talk about « What future awaits printed magazines ? » in partnership with Hart Magazine at the Vanderborght, between 2 pm and 3 pm. Both Saturday and Sunday, there will be workshops, held from 2 pm to 5 pm, also at the Vanderborght.

To get from one event to the other, Art Brussels is offering a shuttle service to help you access the galleries. The shuttles circulate between four different districts in the city. There are eight stops, all marked by a beach flag. To make sure that you find out everything the event has to offer, visit the map.
