50th anniversary of the moon landing celebrated with exhibition

In parallel with the extension of Generation 80 Experience, Europa Expo is hosting an exhibition commemorating the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. Until the 1st of September 2019, photographs from NASA as well as magazines and newspapers are on display to get back into the euphoria that this event has generated around the world.


On Monday 21 July 1969, Belgium experienced a national holiday unlike any other. It was necessary to recover of a historic night, during which two Earthlings had walked on the ground of the Moon, at 3:56 am our time. Viewers remained in front of their screen until the early morning to watch the first steps of the astronauts on the lunar surface.


This temporary exhibition, called « One small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind », also offers a short film, showing the progress of the Apollo 11 mission and its technological and scientific implications.
