Architectural exhibition that celebrates communal housing

19.04.2018 - Editorial

These days more and more people choose to share their living space. "Together! The New Architecture of the Collective" is an exhibition that celebrates this phenomenon. It aims to shed more light on the architectural possibilities offered by collective housing.

The exhibition is divided into a few sections. The first one introduces the visitors to the history of social housing. The second presents 21 large-scale models of “housing experiments” set in a diverse fictitious city. The third one invites the public to experience cluster apartments first-hand as it is a full-scale model. The case study of communal housing rounds up the exhibition and provides more information for the intrigued.

"Together! The New Architecture of the Collective" is open until 01.07 at CID Le Grand-Hornu.
