Founder of this house is Marc Debailleul, a Frenchman who started his career at the age of 17 as an apprentice pastry chef and won the coveted title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 1979.

After having started his career at Wittamer as a pastry chef and product manager, he founded in Belgium in 1983 the company that bears his name. Since that date Maison Debailleul has been conquering the world with major success amongst the picky and hard to convince Japanese!

The new space spreads overs two floors, and sets the tone: elegant, curvy and voluptuous, marrying peach, pink and blue. An innovative style, pulsating with crisp colours. A nice granito mixes with light oak, while brass punctuates this decorative scene.

Try the refined cake with a raspberry mousse or the Voltaire, a chocolate cake with a crème brûlée à la vanilla from Madagascar, two icons of the House. Other good reasons to go are the ultra fresh pralines, delicate macaroons and ice cream (when the sun comes out!). A tea room and shop opened from morning to evening, offering sweet breakfasts, desserts or well-balanced coffee breaks. With a breathtaking view of the Grand Place and its majestic City Hall.

It's nice to have them in Brussels for us and the world to enjoy!
