Belgian Boutique reveals the artistic way of getting tipsy

It’s a well kept secret : the Niels family loves art. When dining in their famous restaurants “Au Vieux Saint Martin" / Sablon and the “Au Grand Forestier" / Watermael-Boitsfort you could get the feeling of sitting in an art gallery rather than in a gastronomic venue.

The love is art is part of the family tradition. Today Albert Jean and Frédéric Niels (3rd and 4th generation) still like to be surrounded by and cherish their friendships with Belgian artists of all sorts : painters, designers, architects, graphic designers.. Sometimes these artistic friendships get translated in unique wine labels.

The list is long but if can can name a few we would go for W. Swennen (Chateau AD Rosam de Mr et Mme Vossen), J.L. Moerman (Gamay de Touraine de la maison Marionnet), Picha (Chardonnay du Bourdic) et P. Deman (Le Priolat/côtes de franc/Bordeaux de Mr et Mme Vossen).  Their house champagne, a Billecart Salmon Brut, wears a contre-etiquette designed by B. Van Innis.
