THIBAULT VAN RENNE REPRODUCES FORGOTTEN DESIGNS FOR LOSTNFOUND

Thibault Van Renne, the rising star in the field of custom-made luxury carpets, just started collaboration with Lostnfound to reproduce some original designs from the 1930s. This Ghent connection will revive the original designs of Marcel Wolfers and Baucher-Feron

The Brussels design duo Baucher-Feron’s most active period was mainly between the 1920s and 1950s. Their carpets were made in very limited quantities, and so were barely known to a wider audience. Too bad, since Baucher-Feron can be considered as pioneers through their use of color and the artistry of their designs. Frederic Rozier delved into their archives and selected two special designs for reproduction. The third carpet being reissued is based on a design by silversmith Marcel Wolfers. The Boomerang carpet is a tribute to the iconic design of Willy Van Der Meeren.

Belgian pride with a Ghent touch

That Lostnfound collaborates with Thibault Van Renne on the reproduction of these forgotten classics works is no coincidence. For Frederic Rozier from Lostnfound, it was obvious that a Belgian company had to be in charge of the production of these Belgian designs, and the Ghent factor was definitely a nice bonus. “Thibault Van Renne is from Ghent just like me, which creates a certain bond. Plus Thibault is very strong actor in his segment, and he sets the highest quality standards for the product he delivers. Thibault Van Renne has an incomparable feeling for aesthetics; he’s not afraid to think outside the box, and loves innovation. In other words, a perfect match, made in Ghent.”
