Henri I and Marie opened the first bakery in Brussels in 1910. They created a prosperous business through dedication and hard work. Henri II successfully takes over the reins of the family business with his wife Yvonne. She was the one to come up with the idea of selling cakes.

Today, the team made up of both their son Henri III (known as Paul) – renowned pastry chef – and daughter Myriam – the visionary artist – has taken the reputation of La Maison Wittamer beyond the seas, perpetuating the artisanal tradition whilst instilling creativity. Myriam’s daughter, Leslie, singlehandedly manages the Wittamer Café, the House tearooms.
